Who we are
Ninety Nine Media OOH LLP (“99 Media”, “we”, “us”) is an out-of-home advertising company. We own advertising sites and plan, buy and run outdoor campaigns across India. Registered office: Office 814, New Delhi House, 27 Barakhamba Road, Connaught Place, New Delhi 110001. LLPIN: ACV-4405.
We decide why and how the personal data described here is used, which makes us the Data Fiduciary under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (the “DPDP Act”). This policy covers our website, 99media.in, and the enquiries, emails, calls and messages that reach us through it. When we run a campaign for your company, our written agreement with your company also applies.
What we collect
We collect only what we need, mostly what you choose to give us.
| Where it comes from | What we collect |
|---|---|
| Start a campaign form | Name, company, work email, phone, what you need, cities, dates, duration, budget range and any message. |
| “Tell us the city” form | Cities, start date and work email. |
| Partner with us form | Name and phone, plus either your site’s details (address, size, notes or a photos link) or your company, cities and formats. |
| Newsletter | Work email. |
| Job applications | Your CV and anything else you include when you email it to us. |
| Emails, calls and messages | Whatever you share with us, and your contact details. |
| Client Tracker | Names and contact details of the people your company asks us to give campaign access to. |
| Visits to this website | Pages viewed, the site that sent you, approximate location (country, region, city), device type, operating system and browser, counted by Vercel Web Analytics without cookies and without identifying you. Our host also keeps short-lived server logs, including IP address, time and page requested, for security. |
We don’t ask for sensitive information. Please don’t send identity documents, bank or card details through our forms.
How we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and prepare plans, proposals and quotations.
- To deliver campaigns we’re hired for: booking sites, printing, permissions, installation, monitoring, reporting and Client Tracker access.
- To assess sites and media offered to us through Partner with us.
- To send the newsletter you subscribed to. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
- To consider job applications.
- To run, secure and improve this website.
- To meet legal, tax and accounting duties, and to handle disputes.
We don’t use your data for automated decisions about you, and we don’t build advertising profiles.
Consent and legal basis
When you send a form, subscribe, or email or call us, you agree to us using your details for that purpose. We also rely on the other uses the DPDP Act allows, for example where you give us data voluntarily for a specific purpose, or where the law requires us to keep records.
You can withdraw consent at any time, as easily as you gave it: use the unsubscribe link, or write to privacy@99media.in. Withdrawal doesn’t affect anything we did before, and we may then be unable to continue the service you asked for. We will stop using the data, and ask our service providers to do the same, unless the law requires us to keep it.
Who we share it with
We do not sell personal data. We share it only with:
- Service providers who work on our behalf: website hosting and analytics (Vercel), email delivery for website forms (Resend), email and office software, and IT support. Enquiries and customer records are kept in our own software. They may use the data only to provide their service to us and must keep it secure.
- Campaign partners, such as media owners, printers and installation teams, and only the details they need to do their part of your campaign.
- Professional advisers, such as auditors and lawyers, under a duty of confidentiality.
- Authorities, when the law requires it.
- A buyer or successor, if our business is reorganised or sold, under the same protections.
Data outside India
Some of our service providers store or process data outside India, for example on Vercel’s global network. We use only established providers with strong security, and we follow any restrictions the Government of India places on such transfers.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries from people who don’t become clients: 24 months after our last contact.
- Client and contract records: as long as tax, company and other laws require, usually eight years.
- Newsletter: until you unsubscribe.
- Job applications: up to 12 months, unless you join us.
- Security and access logs: at least one year, as the DPDP Rules require, then deleted.
After that we delete the data or make it anonymous. If we plan to erase data because you’ve been inactive, we’ll give you notice first where the law requires it.
How we protect it
We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), limit access to the people who need it, use reputable providers with their own security programmes, and keep access logs. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your personal data, we will tell you and the Data Protection Board of India, as the law requires.
Your rights
Under the DPDP Act you can:
- Get a summary of the personal data we hold about you, how we use it, and who we’ve shared it with.
- Correct, complete or update it.
- Have it erased, unless we must keep it by law.
- Withdraw consent at any time.
- Make a complaint to us, and then to the Data Protection Board of India.
- Nominate someone to act for you if you die or are unable to.
To use any of these, write to privacy@99media.in from the email address we have for you, or tell us how we can confirm it’s you. We reply within 30 days. The Act also asks you to give accurate information and not to make false or frivolous complaints.
Children
Our services are for businesses, and this website is not meant for anyone under 18. We don’t knowingly collect children’s data. If we learn we have, we will delete it.
Cookies
We don’t use cookies to track you or to show ads, and our analytics work without cookies. Details are in our Cookie policy.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal data, we will update this page and the date at the top. For significant changes we will also tell clients directly.
